When drunk driving charges arise, life can change in all sorts of ways. Sometimes, people find themselves in this position after drinking too much at a celebration or while they are out with friends. Unfortunately, some may not be aware that they are over the legal limit. In Boston, and in all parts of Massachusetts, these accusations can spell disaster for people from all walks of life. Sometimes, DUI charges lead to job loss or, in the case of celebrities, humiliation in the public eye.

According to law enforcement officials, a man who plays football in the NFL was recently taken into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol. Authorities say that he confessed to operating a vehicle while intoxicated and had a blood-alcohol level of 0.08, barely above the legal limit. The football player was visiting Hawaii during the incident.

The police report states that the NFL player had been celebrating his 30th birthday when he was taken into custody. He was reportedly stopped after leaving a Waikiki nightclub and driving erratically. Authorities also claim that the vehicle he was driving had the smell of marijuana.

Handling drunk driving charges correctly is pivotal. Sometimes, there are seemingly minor details that are overlooked which could have a significant impact on the outcome of the case. DUI charges often leave people feeling overly stressed out and even helpless, but it is important for people facing these allegations to go over their options. Sometimes, reaching out to an attorney is very helpful.
